How To Measure Your Gate Guide
If you are choosing to purchase one of our bespoke gates, please keep in mind when ordering, the width measurements given are the actual size of the gate or gates. Any allowances for posts, centre rebates or clearances for ironmongery will need to be considered.
When ordering your height, the size stated is the actual height of the gate or gates. Please keep in mind that a ground clearance of at least 2 inches should always be allowed for.
There are many ways to install a gate, whether it’s to a brick or block pillar or between two wooden or steel posts. Please feel free to contact us if you’re unsure, as our helpful and friendly staff are always here to help.

All our side gates are designed to be hung on the right, looking from the road side, unless otherwise stated.
All weights shown are approximate.
Items are subject to carriage fees where stated. Mainland UK delivery only.
All the timber we use is the best quality redwood or hardwoods, planed down to a smooth finish in our workshop. Some profiles such as arch work will be laminated.
When our gates are supplied as natural timber with no finishes, they will require treatment before fitting, with a high-quality wood preservative or exterior wood paint, before attaching any ironmongery or fittings.
